The Green Planet won Project of the Year at the Middle East Consultant Awards, held on 8 November and Highly Commended Mechanical Project of the Year at the MEP Awards took place on 17 November. At the same ceremony, Ramboll was also Highly Commended for MEP Consultancy of the Year Award.
Ramboll was the Design and Build contract’s lead consultant in the development of Dubai’s very own tropical indoor rainforest, complete with more than 3,000 species of plants, animals, and free-flying birds. We are responsible for all engineering services and appointed by U+A, as the project architects for this signature landmark of a living organic Amazon rainforest museum space.
Located at City Walk, The Green Planet recreates an exotic, sensory experience of traveling through a lush and verdant rainforest. Visitors can explore a range of striking landscapes from mysterious forest pools to tree top canopy platform, cliff-hanging gardens, and waterfalls surrounded by living habitat, birds, butterflies and aquatic animals.

The Middle East Consultant Awards hosted its second year was held on 8 November 2016 in Dubai recognises the region’s best multi-discipline construction and consulting industries in the Middle East and was attended by more than 300 guests.
Ramboll was highly praised for MEP Consultancy of the Year and Mechanical Project of the year for the Green Planet.

The MEP Middle East Awards in its tenth year are considered the most prestigious recognition within the MEP field in the Middle East. The awarding ceremony held on 16 November at Westin Mina Seyahi, Dubai.
