Palava City is an integrated smart city with a vision to become the largest ever privately planned development in India. Offering a range of world-class facilities like educational institutions, Olympic Sports Complex and other sports arenas, a shopping mall sprawling an area of about 46,000 sqm, a pedestrian-friendly environment, grand clubhouses, world-class offices and more, the city is truly a Live-Work-Learn-Play city.
Palava Phase I - Casa Bella (Extension) is a residential neighbourhood within the city. The development entails four residential towers comprising two wings each with a common utility space called the ‘town hall’ on the same plot. As part of the development, our experts provided mechanical, electrical, public health engineering (MEP) and fire protection service design from the concept-design stage to construction. Ramboll also provided value-added solutions that enabled the client to optimise costs. The client appreciated the timely delivery of the project and has offered Ramboll to work on other buildings within Palava city.

Kapil Badonia, Ramboll’s Senior Engineer PHE as well as the project manager on this project added “We worked closely with the client and other stakeholders to understand their needs, delivery workflow and executed the project on time with their support. With conservation of energy being one of our priorities, our engineers installed energy-saving equipment in the building. With regards to internal and external safety, automation mechanisms were put in place to ensure robust internal and external fire safety measures. Protection from thunderbolts were enabled by including lightning arresting bars in the building’s design.”
Palava Phase I - Casa Bella (Extension) project was completed on time and in alignment with the liveability and sustainability goals of the project.
