Ramboll helped NIA prepare an accelerated roadmap to become India's first net-zero emissions airport operator. The objective is to identify options, conduct cost-benefit analyses and help the client chart the way forward. We focused on waste, water, fuel, and energy in our net-zero design process.
With the mission of developing sustainable infrastructure, Ramboll is engaged in developing designs and tender documents for EPC procurement for airside, landside and utility infrastructure including area grading, utility networks, utility buildings, ICT, and airport support buildings beside runways, taxiways, apron, parking spaces and access roads.
All designs have been developed to achieve an efficient and green infrastructure in an integrated Building Information Modelling (BIM) environment.
Throughout the duration of the project, there has been seamless collaboration across borders and with other project consultants, and highly efficient remote working was the order of the day. The project delivery witnessed business verticals of Ramboll Aviation, Sustainability, Smart Mobility, Engineering Center, Water and Smart Buildings coming together in the true spirit of “One Ramboll” to meet client and complex project requirements under aggressive timelines in the middle of the pandemic. We applied the best use of technologies and communication platforms to the project.
Ramboll is motivated by the client's ambition to become India's first net-zero emissions airport operator and look forward to a great partnership in supporting this. We are further motivated by the auspicious beginning of construction of this iconic project that was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India on 25 November 2021 and pledge our full commitment to NIA team to make this successful.
