The North South Line Cross Harbour Tunnel is a 1.7 km immersed tunnel crossing the Victoria harbour in Hong Kong. Ramboll undertakes the role to be the Independent Geotechnical Expert Advice (the ‘expert Reviewer’) for the Immersed tunnel.
The Shatin to Central Link is a 17 kilometres long railway project from north to south Hong Kong running through several districts and linking a number of existing railway lines.
The centrepiece is conducted under the 4.35 bn HKD contract SCL 1121 and contains the 1.7 km immersed tunnel (IMT) crossing the Victoria harbour.
Ramboll undertakes the roll to be the Independent Geotechnical Expert Advice (the ‘expert Reviewer’) for the Immersed tunnel works. We will review the reference design, the preliminary and detailed design of the permanent works.
PY Pun-KD & Associates Ltd has awarded Ramboll the role of the Independent Geotechnical Expert Advice (the ‘expert reviewer’). PY Pun-KD provides monitoring and verification services for the Shatin to Central Link for the Railway Development Office of the Hong Kong government.
Ramboll will draw on its expertise in immersed tube tunnels such as the Fehmarnbelt and Øresund connections in the course of this work.
