Urban liveability calls for urgent action

Sometimes doing nothing can be the most costly option – both in environmental and financial terms. Representing 3.5 million residents, Jeddah officials have realised that swift action is needed to make the city more liveable in the future. Ramboll established a cost-benefit analysis and crafted a masterplan to ensure future sustainable development for Jeddah.

Under the leadership of the Ruler of Fujairah H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi and Crown Prince H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Fujairah Municipality initiated the development of a strategic Framework Plan for the Emirate of Fujairah, one of seven Emirates making up the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Ramboll was commissioned by Fujairah Municipality to develop Fujairah’s Framework Plan through a multi-disciplinary approach.

Appointed by NERC as Technical Advisors to BAS (British Antarctic Survey), Ramboll is providing specialist engineering and consultancy services for seven years. Delivering a host of projects within the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation Programme (AIMP), BAS and its Technical Advisors (including NORR Architects and Turner & Townsend) are preparing for one of the world’s most advanced Polar research ships - the RRS Sir David Attenborough.
