Industrial environment services

Ramboll is one of the world’s leading consultancies. We offer all types of industrial environmental  services including spatial planning, legal services, risk assessment, product assessment, life cycle assessment (LCA), auditing, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. We provide industrial environment services at a national, regional and local levels.

Spatial planning

Spatial planning and appropriate environmental assessments are often a prerequisite to new industrial projects. At Ramboll, we are used to combining spatial planning, environmental impact assessment (EIA) and strategic environmental assessment (SEA).

We assist our customers with overall project management, including making assessments of the various environmental issues that might arise. We prepare relevant planning documents and negotiate with local and government authorities. We help local authorities prepare planning material, and we act as a sounding board in complicated planning cases.

Legal services

Ramboll also provides services to companies and authorities on legal requirements to make sure they comply with environmental legislation. We prepare environmental approvals, carry out environmental inspections, and prepare local environmental plans.

Product assessment

We have the expertise to prepare product assessments according to customers’ specific needs. For example, we compare how different products contribute to global warming, pose potential health risks or contribute to other potential environmental impacts.

Helix London

Helix-London development

Two elliptical residential towers of different heights sit above a two storey podium in this mixed use development in London's Canary Wharf. One of Europe's largest McDonald's restaurants has been demolished to make way for it.

The concrete frame towers, one 28 storeys high and the other 35 storeys, are linked by spaghetti-like steel bridges. Each floor has a wrap-around balcony with views to the nearby marina. The podium below houses shops and a replacement McDonald's on the ground floor; and a children's playground, screened sports pitch and landscaped public space on the first floor.
